Iconic music legend Nile Rodgers & CHIC has announced an exclusive outdoor London show for summer 2020 in the stunning setting of London’s Kenwood House, the English Heritage site on Hampstead Heath.
Nile Rodgers is an exceptional artist, even among music royalty. As the co-founder of CHIC, and the recently elected Chairman of the Songwriters Hall of Fame, Rodgers is widely regarded as one of the most influential musicians of all time.
As a multiple GRAMMY award-winning composer, producer, arranger, and guitarist, Rodgers pioneered a musical language that generated chart-topping hits like “Le Freak,” (the biggest selling single in the history of Atlantic Records) and sparked the advent of hip-hop with “Good Times”.
Nile Rodgers transcends all styles of music across every generation with a body of work that’s garnered him inductions into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
His work with CHIC and artists such as David Bowie, Diana Ross and Madonna has sold over 700 million albums and 75 million singles worldwide, while more recent collaborations with Daft Punk, Avicii, Sigala, Disclosure and Sam Smith have kept him at the forefront of contemporary music.
Joining Nile Rodgers & Chic for the exclusive outdoor show at Kenwood House will be special guests Soul II Soul.
Since their inception in the 1970’s, Soul II Soul have progressed from leaders of the warehouse scene to pioneering British black music around the world, with hits including “Keep On Movin’”, and “Back To Life (However Do You Want Me). During the course of their stellar career the band have sold over 10 million albums worldwide, with their founder Jazzie B having been awarded an OBE for services to music and the Ivor Novello Award for Inspiration.
Please note that small picnics are permitted, but camping chairs are only permitted in the Rear of the Arena. Alcohol must be purchased on site. There will be an abundance of bars and food outlets on site.
Children aged 14 and under may purchase a Child Ticket (proof may be required upon entry). All children must be accompanied by an adult. Under 5’s free (no ticket required).
