Following a stunning sold out show in 2022 and due to phenomenal demand, Heritage Live has announced the return of Tom Jones to Audley End.

The iconic performer will take to the stage as part of Heritage Live’s 2023 summer outdoor concert series in the grounds of English Heritage’s Audley End House & Gardens in Saffron Walden, Essex.

Demand for Tom’s concert at Audley End in 2022 could have seen it sold out several times over, with the Saffron Walden Reporter commenting on the show ‘…he's still got that powerful voice with a set spanning more than six decades of hits.’

On the show, Heritage Live Organiser Giles Cooper said:

“Last year’s show by Tom Jones at Audley End was so special for everyone in attendance. To be able to have him perform once again as part of our concert series for 2023 is truly wonderful. Audley is such a spectacular setting for live music, and 2023 is shaping up to be the best year of shows there yet.”

With a diverse career spanning over 60 years, Tom Jones has gone from strength to strength, with his seminal and ubiquitous hits such as ‘It’s Not Unusual’, ‘Kiss’, ‘Delilah’, ‘What’s New Pussycat’, ‘I’ll Never Fall In Love Again’, ‘Sex Bomb’, and more.

Along with sustaining his popularity as a live performer and recording artist for more than six decades, he continues to garner critical acclaim, including with the release of his most recent album, ‘Surrounded By Time’. The album made him the oldest male to claim a number 1 spot on the UK Official Album Chart with an album of new material, overtaking Bob Dylan.

It is the most recent high point in a career full of highlights, including a deeply cherished knighthood from Her Majesty the Queen in 2006. Other highlights of his long career include receiving multiple BRIT Awards, a Silver Clef Award for Lifetime Achievement, the Hitmaker Award from the [US] Songwriters Hall of Fame, GQ Man Of The Year, and the prestigious [UK] Music Industry Trusts Award.

His legacy will undoubtedly live on for generations to come.

Tom Jones will bring his irresistible live show to Audley End once again in 2023, featuring a musical mix that traverses eras and genres.

Special guests include Canadian singer-songwriter and visual artist STORRY, a 2x Juno nominated artist and opera trainee, her debut album Chapter III: The Come Up, was nominated for a Juno award for Adult Contemporary Album of the Year, alongside the likes of Celine Dion and Alanis Morrisette.

Also taking to the stage will be Scottish singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Tamzene. A unique mix of Jamaican and Irish heritage have encouraged a style that blends soul, funk, R&B and reggae. Tamzene’s latest release ‘Last Song’ featured eighth on the on the Spotify New Music Playlist internationally.

The first special guest of the evening will be Australian pop collective, Germein, consisting of three siblings, Georgia (lead vocals/guitar), Ella (bass/cello) and Clara Germein (percussion/back vocals). Having toured Europe, Australia, New Zealand and China, the Germein sisters have won Most Popular Pop Artists in the South Australian Music Awards, twice.
