Whilst with UB40, Ali sold over 70 million records worldwide, including over 50 hits in the UK Singles Charts alone, all propelled by his vocals which have seen him heralded as one of the greatest voices in UK music, let alone reggae.

With accolades including an Ivor Novello Award for International Achievement, alongside Grammy and BRIT Award nominations, Ali has been recognised for his incredible mark on bringing reggae music to the masses.

For over 45 years the band’s ubiquitous hits such as ‘Cherry Oh Baby’, ‘Many Rivers to Cross’, ‘Kingston Town’, ‘(I Can’t Help) Falling In Love With You’, and of course, ‘Red Red Wine’ have resonated worldwide, with audiences in all corners of the globe clamouring to see them live.

Bitty McLean came to prominence in the 1990’s, first emerging with a collaboration with UB40 on their 1993 album ‘Promise and Lies’. Bitty’s own treasure trove of modern classics, including ‘It Keeps Raining (Tears From My Eyes), ‘Dedicated To The One I Love’ and ‘Here I Stand’, saw him notch up 3 UK Top 19 singles by 1994 selling over 1 million records. He continues to be one of Britain’s premier reggae vocalists.

Founded in 2006, 8-piece band Gentleman's Dub Club have made an indelible mark on the live music scene. Their electronic music-infused dub and reggae and their high-energy shows has seen them perform at major UK festivals including Glastonbury, Bestival, Boomtown and V Fest. Touring has taken the band international, and people from countries such as India, Morocco, the USA, and Iceland have been delighted by the band's infectious commitment to plugging in and leaving their guts on stage.

General Levy is a true veteran of the UK urban music scene, one of the most in demand MC’s in the country, and a prominent figure on the international reggae circuit. His career took off with the release of the iconic track ‘Incredible’, a collaboration with M-Beat that reached No.8 on the UK Singles Chart in 1994. In recent years, Levy has continued to evolve as an artist, collaborating with contemporary acts like Chase & Status and Fedde Le Grand.

Bushman is one of the most distinctive voices to emerge from the Jamaican roots reggae resurgence of the late 1990s. His breakthrough came with the hit single ‘Call the Hearse’, which paved the way for his debut album Nyah Man Chant in1997, and he has since gone on to perform across seven continents. His contributions have been formally recognized with major honours, including the Steppin’ Razor Award (2019), the Peter Tosh Humanitarian Award (2022), and induction into the Reggae Walk of Fame in 2022.

Channel One Soundsystem is one of the UK’s best known and most-loved reggae sound systems. Running for over 40 years, Channel One built up their reputation as one of the main sound systems at Notting Hill Carnival, before taking it global in recent years both with their live performances, and clips of their live sessions garnering millions of views. They’ll be performing one of their legendary DJ sets at Englefield as part of this show.
