This unique 'Last Night of The Heritage Proms' show with Russell Watson will be conducted by legendary composer David Arnold and feature the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra, composer and producer Mike Moran, coloratura soprano Christina Johnston, and very special guests The NHS Choir!

Russell will perform an array of classics from much loved standards such as Jerusalem, Land of Hope and Glory and Swing Low, through to affirming and uplifting showstoppers including You Raise Me Up and Bring Him Home, alongside a very special Phantom Of The Opera medley.

This unique outdoor evening experience will feature a spitfire flypast and a fireworks finale!

£1 from every ticket sold from the event will be donated towards the NHS Charities Together, the collective representing, supporting and championing the work of the NHS’ official charities.

Russell Watson is one of the world’s most popular classical singers, once described by the New York Times as a performer ‘who sings like Pavarotti and entertains the audience like Frank Sinatra’.

His debut album The Voice saw him hold the top spot in the charts for an unprecedented 52 weeks – whilst at the same time topping the charts in the USA, making him the first British male artiste to attain a simultaneous transatlantic number one. The Voice subsequently became the first and only album by a UK classical artiste to achieve 1,000,000 sales.

Russell’s incredible career has seen him perform for some of the world’s leading figures – from Presidents to Popes, and Emperors to Queens, including HM The Queen, the late Pope John Paul II, former US Presidents Bill Clinton, George W Bush and Barack Obama; and the Emperor of Japan.

With his collaborative albums with Aled Jones, as well as last year’s compilation album ‘20’, Russell continues to achieve remarkable successes in the charts, as well as selling out venues all over the UK and indeed the world.

The conductor for the evening will be David Arnold!

Very special guests for the summer show will be The NHS Choir! The Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Voices Choir were first seen on Gareth Malone's BBC2 show, Sing While You Work, where they were narrowly beaten in the final. Since then they have gone from strength-to-strength.

The choir rode an overwhelming wave of support from the public and the media as they landed the much coveted Christmas No.1. spot in the official UK chart in 2015 with their single A Bridge Over You, alongside kind words from Justin Bieber who they beat in the chart race.

Following this success, the choir recorded their debut album Something Inside So Strong, as well as performing at prestigious events and venues including the FA Cup Final, the Royal Albert Hall, and the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury.

Last year the choir recorded a new version of Justin Bieber’s song Holy with Bieber himself, recorded at Abbey Road Studios, and performed alongside Michael Ball and Captain Sir Tom Moore for a recording of You’ll Never Walk Alone, with profits going towards the NHS Charities Together.

Opening the evening will be singer, songwriter and producer Mark Kingswood. Mark has achieved roaring success with his first two albums ‘Strong’, and ‘Brave Enough’, which saw him lauded for his ability to modernise the perception of what a Crooner can be. His original take on Jazz and Pop has seen him achieve unprecedented support as a new artist from BBC Radio 2, including an Album of the Week, and an awe-inspiring session in the famous Radio 2 Piano Room.
