Giles Cooper Entertainment (GCE) have announced that Audley End House & Gardens in Saffron Walden, the decadent Jacobean mansion house in the gorgeous Essex countryside will host a stellar line-up of live music concerts in summer 2019.
The Heritage Live Concert Series will take place across the weekend of the 12th – 14th July, bringing the best in live music to the most beautiful of outdoor settings at one of England’s finest country houses.
The next show announced for this weekend will be a once in a lifetime triple-header of disco, headlined by one of the biggest groups of all time, The Jacksons, joined by Kool And The Gang and Boney M featuring Maizie Williams on Sunday 14th July. Having sold an incredible combined 320 million records worldwide, this is the perfect line-up for an idyllic summer’s evening of dancing.
Celebrating their 50th anniversary, marked by the 1969 release of their chart-topping debut single, "I Want You Back", The Jacksons; consisting of founding members Jermaine, Tito, Jackie and Marlon, continue to wow audiences across the world as one of the certified biggest band’s of all-time.
With the ubiquitous hits: "ABC”, "The Love You Save" and "I'll Be There", the Jackson 5 made history with their trademark sound in 1970 as the first recording act whose first four singles reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.
They ultimately scored 17 top 40 singles on the Hot 100, following with hits such as "Never Can Say Goodbye" and "Dancing Machine", and set a benchmark for popular music.
Originally formed in 1969 – and thus celebrating their 50th anniversary in music at Audley End next year – Kool And The Gang have earned an incredible two Grammy Awards, seven American Music Awards, 25 Top Ten R&B hits, nine Top Ten Pop hits and 31 gold and platinum albums, with seminal hits such as “Celebration”, “Cherish”, “Jungle Boogie”, “Summer Madness”, and “Open Sesame”.
Completing the line-up will be Boney M, featuring original singer and founding member Maizie Williams.
